Was in 1996, owned my very first wolfhound. I called him Sebastian, he was not a show dog at that time, he was our family pet. I loved him dearly and was lucky to have him for 9 years. My husband and I have 2 now, Barden my first and Oola came next. Took me about a year to find Barden , bought him from a breeder in Montana, fell in love the moment I saw him. About 3 months later I found Oola, she came from a breeder in Minnesota, she is total sweetheart. Love them both dearly.

I decided to start showing, nervous as could be. But at the first show Barden took first and Oola took second. Not bad for a beginner that didn't know what I was doing Learned a lot that day. Had a seasoned gal come up along side me to kind of show me the ropes sorta speak. Everyone was so nice , I continued to show and Barden kept getting firsts and Oola seconds. I can honestly say, was by no means by me, they seemed to be naturals at showing. Sure I spent lots of time reading about nutrition, training and looking at what other breeders are saying and breeding, talking with different breeders and dog owners etc. The database also has alot of interest to me, as well as akc site and IWCA. Just felt this was my calling at this point and time in my life. I am retired, so I am very fortunate to spend a lot of time with Barden and Oola. We live on 5 acres, so plenty of room for them to run and play. We go on walks as long as the days are nice.

My goal is to raise healthy beautiful dogs as close to standard as possible, striving for longevity , loving on them and cherishing the courage and gentleness of this magnificent breed owned by Kings and legends of the past.
